When it comes to scrummy local bites, it’s a winner! Check out Lasseter's Restaurant & Bar for some proper tasty meals just down the road. The breakfast at The York was a decent buffet with all the classic staples, and the dining room had a fresh vibe that made it an enjoyable start to the day. Can’t beat a full English with a view, right?
While it’s all fun and games, the hotel’s decor definitely needs a TLC session. Some rooms felt a bit tired and worn out. Plus, watch out for those quirky room quirks, like iffy window handles and a TV that might as well be a relic from the Dark Ages. Still, it wasn’t all bad, just needs a bit of a refresh!

Seafront location, friendly assistance with luggage, engaging local tours
A complete overhaul of outdated facilities is long overdue!!! The noise levels combined with inadequate soundproofing made it hard to find peace and quiet. Bathroom issues like low water pressure created frustrating shower experiences. Fixing these would enhance comfort greatly!!!

Spacious room with an awesome view!
We had a spacious twin room, biggest I’ve been in for ages! The view was amazing, too. Location was perfect, just a stroll to the beach. Breakfast was good and the staff were super helpful. Just wish the pillows were a bit softer, they were kinda hard. Still, a decent stay overall!

the staff were so friendly and really made us feel welcome. the food was amazing, we enjoyed dinner in the hotel and the breakfast spread was pretty good too. our room was lovely and tidy, and it got much better after the lady fixed the blinds. might be good to have a proper blackout curtain for more privacy though. our kids wanted to look out the window, but it wasn’t locked, so maybe secure windows would be nice too.
the only downsides were the blinds not working properly at first and the window not being locked which made us a bit uneasy.

Located right by the beach, which is perfect. The room felt very outdated, TV didn't work well. Friendly staff were accommodating and organized live music. Needs overall modernization.
